STEEL LOCK UP
The first type is a previously used shipping container - many are nearly new and have only been once to ship goods into the country before being sold off to container resellers. Almost all shipping containers have a width of 8ft, and a standard length of either 20ft or 40ft, and represent the best value for money of any type of STEEL LOCK UP. This is because irregular sizes have to be modified from standard sized shipping containers, which of course adds to the selling price.
A STEEL LOCK UP made purely for use as a storage container doesn't have to confirm to shipping regulations, so although it may cost a little more, there are many different sizes available, from this 6ft model, to this 40ft model with five separate rooms!
As an added security feature, a lock box can be fitted to any STEEL LOCK UP used for storage purposes only. If the container is to be used for shipping, unfortunately the lock box will take the container over the specified length for IS0 shipping certification. This 15ft shipping container has twin lock boxes which you can see in the middle of the doors of this container, and protects the padlock underneath from intruders. Containers Direct sell excellent quality Italian padlocks, that can be used in conjunction with a lock box, or alone and are suitable for any STEEL LOCK UP.
