16FT NEW SHIPPING CONTAINER
Additional ways to modify your 16ft new shipping container16ft new shipping containers are made by taking a standard once-used shipping container and adding a new back wall in matching corrugated steel and/or newly fabricated doors as appropriate.
Four door types to choose from:
- S1 doors: Made with 3mm thick steel and typically easier to open and close, these doors are the favourites of schools, clubs and for home storage. We would suggest adding compressed door seals to your S1 container for only £65.00 plus VAT
- S2 doors: The original container doors have the advantage of rubber door seals to seal the unit, but can be heavy to open and close.
- S3 doors: Bespoke to Containers Direct, our S3 door was designed to be the perfect fit for the Self Storage market incorporating rubber doors seals but lightweight like the S1 doors.
- S4 doors: Another popular option are manual or electric 8ft wide roller shutter doors. These are made from galvanised steel but can be powder coated to match the rest of the container if preferred.
Designed to fit under your lockbox for additional security, we’re currently offering padlocks at the discounted price of £35 plus VAT
- Ply Lining
The best method of fully insulating your container, our plylining options come in either 9mm or 12mm Redwood. Click here for more details on ply lined containers
One of our most popular modifications, we have become industry leading experts in cladding shipping containers. Choose from three different types of wood as standard. For more details see Cladded Shipping Containers
- Shelving Racks
A great way to further maximise storage space, our shelving racks are 3ft wide, can hold 175kgs per shelf, and have 5 tiers.
Some of our clients require electrics installed in the container. Simply hook up with an external power lead and you’re good to go!
An effective way to reduce the build-up of condensation in the container. Grafotherm is a spray on substance applied to the ceiling and absorbs moisture as it forms to protect the contents below.
We build a number of ramps in different lengths, widths and weight tolerances to assist with loading items into your container.
