This shipping container classroom for Marple Hall School in Stockport, was constructed from our StudyBox design. In order to create enough space for a classroom we take standard sized 20ft x 8ft shipping containers, remove the long sides to create a wider space, and then join the completed containers together on site to make a whole unit. This case study uses three containers to create the 20ft x 24ft StudyBox®.
The school also opted to replace the standard feature of a separate storage area inside with a vestibule. We also competed the joining up on site process for them, which is an optional extra (this can be competed by the client with full instructions provided). The StudyBox®
The StudyBox® is a unique design from our streamlined container conversion products that we offer at lower prices. The StudyBox portable classroom is made by joining up recycled shipping containers, to create the width needed for tables, chairs and children. Portable classrooms offer flexibility - not only can they easily be moved to another spot in the school, but they can be used for a variety purposes, including ad hoc.
