The office featured here was created for another interesting operation, The Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset.
The museum brings the story of tanks and their crews to life, with the world's best collection of tanks in awe-inspiring, modern exhibitions. The museum houses 300 military machines, representing the key battles of every major conflict since the First World War.

- Cut and shut on corners to allow platform to be stacked

Shipping container roof platforms and staircases
The addition of metal roof on top of a shipping container is done for a number of reasons. In this case study it provides a viewing platform - a good vantage point for watching special displays of tanks in action held in the outdoor arena. Viewing platforms are also popular on our pop-up bars, giving drinkers a nice outdoor space to sit and enjoy the views. Roof platforms can be added to provide top level access, via an external staircase, in two-storey/stacked container conversions, such as offices and retail units. Lastly some of our conversions for industry house specialist equipment for processes that take place between two levels, requiring staff access between the top and bottom container.How safe is a rooftop platform?
- Made using box section steel and 3mm anti-slip durbar steel for the flooring
- Only added to containers with full corner castings, to support the platform weight
- Corner castings added to the bottom rails which can then secured to the container using twist locks
- Staircase hand rails are 1100mm and gaps between the rails are 100mm to comply with industry safety regulations
