This conversion has been requested by a large national waste management company. This project will be used for cleansing waste water, whereby it will hold a 2 tonne centrifugal machine to separate debris that will then be taken away for disposal, via the fitted conveyor belt and aperture, and the remaining water can be reused.

  • 2 x 20ft once used blue containers with decals removed

  • ISO Double Doors

  • Personnel door

  • Electrics

  • Twist locks for stacking containers

  • External staircase and platform

This conversion involves two containers that will be stacked on top of each other, to form a two storey construction.

Top container:
This has been adapted with features to accommodate the heavy machinery required for water purification. A sliding joist and pulley system is installed to hoist the machine in and out out of the container when required. :

  • 500mm square aperture - for conveyor belt to carry out waste

  • 50mm steel box section frame - to support centrifugal machinery and hoist

Personnel door

Both containers are fitted with a personnel door.

Work to fit sliding joist and pulley system

Electrics

Both the upper and lower containers are fitted with 2 x 4ft strip lights, and the lower container has an additional wall heater and consumer unit.

Staircase and platform

The metal staircase and platform are attached to the sides of the container using metal brackets. Both have a non slip tread.

The finished containers

After stacking, the containers are secured with twist locks, which are used in conjunction with the container corner castings (the metal "eyes" on each corner of the container). Even strong winds can't shift them now!
