Introducing the brand new MenuBox - a shipping container conversion designed with all the features you need to operate a portable catering business. Whether you're taking it on the road or have a fixed residence for it, you'll find everything you need at a price you'll like in the MenuBox.

Why choose a shipping container for catering?

The popularity of shipping container catering units lies in their mobility, as they are perfect for the pop-up circuit of festivals, events and temporary residence. Larger catering units are also suitable for more permanent residence. Even the smallest size shipping container can offer sufficient space for food production. At Containers Direct we're always looking at new ways to meet our customer demands and while container conversions for the catering and hospitality sector have always been popular, we've now simplified the process of bringing you catering conversions with the introduction of the new MenuBox. This is a set package that keeps costs down and includes a range of features to get you started with a shipping container to cook and serve food and drink from.

What's in the MenuBox

For best value we start the conversion process with a used shipping container, although we can use a new shipping container if requested. With four standard sizes to choose from this covers most of our clients' requirements, although we can also build to bespoke sizes.

Optional extras

These are available upon request, which includes attractive wood cladding, sky lights to bring more light into your container, vents and air conditioning units to keep your container fresh and cool. We can also fit alternatives to the flat panel serving hatch - ask about the lifting hatch or the roller shutter hatch.
